Welcome to Year 1 & 2
Our class teacher is Mrs Carter she helps us with our learning.
A big thank you again for all your effort in making Easter bonnets for the parade. The children looked fantastic and really enjoyed showing off their hats!
We had a great time in Science week making and launching rockets!
We really enjoyed a trip out to Tesco to learn more about food and where it comes from. We watched hot cross buns being made and some of us even had a go at loading them onto trays! We learned about different kinds of fish and where they come from and we were able to hold them and smell them too! We found out about lots of different kinds of cheese too. We were able to try different sorts and some of us were brave enough to try the really smelly Stilton! We looked at all the different fruit and vegetables and then loaded our baskets with fruits and vegetables of all the colours in the rainbow! Finally we tasted lots of different fruits. We had so much fun and learned so much more about food!
A Midwife Crisis!!!
A big WELL DONE to everyone who took part in our Christmas performance! Everyone worked so hard and you were all brilliant!
Our Trip to Chesterfield
On Thursday 5th December, we went into Chesterfield to find out how a town gets ready for Christmas. We walked around the town and looked at all the different decorations and things that were on sale in the shops. Then we made our own angel decorations to take back to school.
After lunch, we went to the Crooked Spire to learn about how a church gets ready for Christmas. We helped to tell the Nativity story and then we drew pictures of the Nativity scene. We all had lots of fun!!! Here are some photos from our day.
