The school governors comprise of a group of people from a variety of backgrounds, who are elected, nominated or co-opted and are representative of parents and teachers, the Local Authority and the local community. School governors work with the Headteacher and are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the school. Meetings are held every half term and committees meet in addition to the main governing body meetings. It is essential that the governors, parents, head and staff continue to work as a team towards the same goals and objectives.
The Chair of Governors and Clerk to Governors can be contacted via the school address. If you would like to discuss a matter in person rather than in writing, then please leave your name and contact details with the school office and your call will be returned as soon as is practicable. The Chair and also the Clerk do not work at school and therefore your call or correspondence may not be received by them on the day you send it to school/leave a message.

Mrs H Colin - Type - Co-opted
I have been a Governor for 3 years I am also on the Behaviour and Safety Committee and I am the named governor for Key Stage 2. I became a school governor as I am passionate about our children's future and education. I didn't want to just let them go to just any school. I love the small school values and ethos of a village school and felt Temple Normanton ticked all the boxes. I feel all children and staff deserve a pat on the back for their efforts to make it a fantastic school and hopefully my involvement will only help further.
